The guy who falls in love with love and comes out learning he doesn’t want a lover, he wants a partner.
PATREON/GUMROAD

Drawing another original character today! have a name for him yet, but was thinking he could be named Paris. I do love a guy with a girly name. His personality is like, chill vibes, slow-living energy.
His the type of guy who loves cats, fancy little thing, and taking life as his own pace.
And he probably has a
British accent, becuase why not?
And I’m pretty sure he’s the type who falls in love with love.
He’s a hopeless romantic who genuinely enjoys being in love and making the person he cares about feel special.
What happens when someone loves the feeling of being in love more than they understand the person they’re actually loving?
“Do I love you, or do I love the life I imagined we’d have together?”
- He plans an elaborate date and his boyfriend would honestly rather stay home with him.
- He buys an expensive gift and realizes his partner values something handmade much more.
- He gets excited about Valentine’s Day while his boyfriend doesn’t care about it at all.
- He gets a little insecure because the relationship has become comfortable and doesn’t feel as “magical” anymore.
- He realizes that domestic life is actually the romance he was looking for.
- His boyfriend catches him staring lovingly and asks, “What?” and he genuinely can’t explain it.
- He loves giving gifts, but eventually learns that his partner mostly wants his time.
- He falls for someone who doesn’t reciprocate his romantic intensity and has to learn not to force a fantasy onto them.
He falls in love with ordinary things.
At first he thinks romance means fancy restaurants, beautiful clothes, expensive gifts, candlelit dinners…
Then he falls deeply in love with something incredibly mundane:
His boyfriend half-asleep on the couch.
His cat sitting between them.
Two coffee mugs in the sink.
Someone stealing his blanket.
Grocery shopping together.
And he realizes:
“Oh. This is what I wanted.”
Not the perfect romance.
A life with someone.
