Eiden arrives at the gym Arslan is working at – only to catch him in the middle of a workout. As Eiden enters into the building and checks in, Arslan notices his boy from the other side of the gym. Arslan waves and points at the weights. Eiden stops in tracks, not taking off his sunglasses and jesters towards Arslan.
The blond tiger then processes to do what he was about to do, when he finishes, Eiden applauds him with attitude and sass but not in a derogatory way. Arslan smiles and blushes as Eiden heads back towards the locker rooms to change.
After Arslan ends up expressing how the winter season is kicking his ass – Eiden finds a clever solution. Outdoor gyms are Arslan’s personal favorite, but if only for a couple of months Eiden enrolls him and Arslan in an indoor tennis club sport.
Turns out it’s completely empty – Arslan doesn’t mind the January rush of new people, but Eiden prefers to avoid it. Arslan’s more than happy to get a workout with his boyfriend, so he follows Eiden into this weird new sport.
Turns out the indoor space also has a weight lifting rack – so Arslan has been putting on some more muscle. More than usual anyway. Which has Eiden tanking the gods for making his boyfriend so jacked this year. Even if Arslan himself hasn’t really noticed.
So now in a bout of friendly competition – Arslan brings in the power, but Eiden has the speed. If anything Arslan might win through sheer brute force, but as they both get more comfortable with the sport, they start getting really good at it.
So much so that matches between them are now being filmed and put as a series on the gym’s YouTube channel!
I’ll maybe fuck around and find out and release more flat colors drawings in the upcoming days because I have zero motivation to draw backgrounds rights now and that’s what’s been stopping me from releasing new illustrations. Maybe that or just a patch of burnout mixed with a couple of things I’ve discussed in my last month’s newsletter. Maybe?? 🫨
That and Arknights Endfield has me really obsessed.
