[RENDER] – HANGING OUT

The morning after spending a full 24 hour together.

“Breakfast After a 24-Hour Sleepover”

Arslan woke first — which was unusual. He blinked up at the ceiling, momentarily confused about why everything smelled like eucalyptus and laundry detergent instead of his usual spice-and-leather scent.

Then he remembered.

Eiden’s apartment.

Their “sleepover” that had somehow turned into a full day of doing everything together — cooking, arguing over card games, walking around town, watching dumb movies at midnight.

He stretched, muscles cracking loudly, and Eiden groaned from beside him.

“Dude, you sound like a tree falling,” Eiden muttered into his pillow.

Arslan grinned. “Good morning to you too.”

They stayed like that for a moment — quiet, lazy, the sunlight slipping in through the blinds. It wasn’t awkward. It was… nice. Comfortably warm in a way Arslan wasn’t used to admitting he liked.

Eiden sat up eventually, hair a complete disaster. “Breakfast?”

Arslan nodded. “Only if you let me pay.”

“Only if you don’t pick a place that serves raw eggs.”Eiden groaned as he got out of bed.

Ten minutes later they were walking down the street, both wearing comfortable gym clothes— Arslan wearing a hoodie with his sleeves rolled up, sweatpants and sneakers. Eiden and oversized hoodie, shorts and flat shoes with one sock missing because Arslan accidentally packed it in his hoodie pocket.

The café was nothing fancy: ocean-blue walls, the smell of toasted bread, a sleepy barista who didn’t even look up when they walked in. Arslan ordered something huge, naturally. Eiden ordered something small, because watching Arslan devour food was entertainment enough.

While they waited, Eiden nudged him.

“You know we’ve basically spent an entire day together, right? Like… without breaks.”Eiden nudged as he took a sip of his drink.

Arslan shrugged, trying to look casual. “Yeah. And?”

“Are you not yet tired of me?” Eiden grinned as he lay his head on his hand, his shoulder in the table.

“Nah,” Arslan said, soft but steady. “Actually kinda like it.” Smiling just the way Arslan can.

Breakfast arrived. Warm. Simple. Perfect.

And for the first time in a long time, both of them realized that a day together didn’t feel like too much — it felt like the beginning of something they didn’t want to end.
