Exploration V2 – WIP UPLOAD

Can you believe I started ExP V2 a while ago, more than a year ago I would say. Actually I started working on this on 2024. Just after releasing the first volume.

Especially since I started taking it seriously about selling my stuff on gumroad.

Honestly feels like a lifetime ago. And so many things have happened, more importantly I’ve grown a lot in my comic making progress and how I’m comfortable presenting myself online and such.

My process is also changing, I’m starting to learn blender and probably Godot soon as well. I’m trying to balance actually creating content and learning to improve my skills. If you want to see the step by step, it’s best if you follow me on twitter/x.

Never the less -this volume, I really wanted to write on developing Eiden’s character and see what I could pull on his personality. I really wanted this second volume to focus on him. But that might just be my demise. I would constantly complain to my friend like.

“I HATE THIS FUCKING TWINK!”

Because I sort of did – I felt EXP V2 had more content that gave a little bit more of the story that the first volume set up. But at the same time lacked in a lot of aspects. Backgrounds seemed liked such a drag – and honestly painting wasn’t fun at all!

For now I think this is the final steps for the EXP comics – but maybe they’ll be revived in Visual Novel format in the future? Hopefully!

Also I might be known as the no sequel guy – it really does feel like I’m cursed.

Exploration was my Urban Fantasy setting with Eiden and Arslan – while Love Made Gravity is Eiden x Eduardo. A different story – a different timeline. Well hopefully having them separate makes it easier for people to understand.

Closing Thoughts:

Well – I don’t think I’ll touch this volume any more – hence I’m putting it for free on my blog, because it’s been way to long and every time I work on this volume. I don’t really feel motivated to continue. The one solution I can find is to completely restart from the beginning. And just insert the new drawings with backgrounds into the already existing file. This is because the brushes and style I use have evolved and now I have a different way of going about things. I would have to trace all the drawings and make new lineart. And that might take some time.

But if I did – then it would officially go on my gumroad store. As well as make new backgrounds. Concentrating on one page at a time would help so much! I don’t really like the uploading page by page approach. That’s patreon thing. I really want to make something I can feel proud of while touching on the gei topics I want to write about.

Nevertheless for now you can read it for free and unfinished. It’s better than nothing right? I’ll delete this post if I ever do work on this volume again. Thanks for understanding! Enjoy!
